Pavers are suitable for a variety of outdoor uses including landscaping, pool surrounds, courtyards and public spaces. With their key requirements being that they are hard wearing and non-slip, there is a huge range of options available in terms of stone type, size, colour and finish.
Pavers are most commonly square and ranging in size from 300x300 up to 600x600 however 400x600 rectangular pavers are also available and almost any size can be catered for. We can also supply 1000mmx1000mm slab pavers which are stunning when used in a range of situations - open public spaces, around pools and water features or as a bold walkway.
Thickness of pavers generally starts at 20mm but varies depending on use, with large pavers and those areas which have to bear heavy loads needing a thicker cut, so as to minimise the risk of cracking over time.
Depending on the stone type, pavers can either be split to a natural cleft (eg slate) or gang sawn. Sedimentary rocks like Sandstone, Quartzite and Slate can be natural cleft on one side and gang sawn on the other, whereas igneous and metamorphic rocks like Marble and Granite are sawn on both sides.
A variety of finishes and slip resistance are available for the exposed side - these can be decorative or functional in nature.
